Day 79 Down the Napton Flight - 2.5 miles and 7 locks
Another fantastic sunny Sunday as we were joined by our nephew and fiancée for the day.
Our modest plan was to drop down the locks and have a short cruise and moor up for a bbq.
All went well and we had a great day!
This interesting ice-breaker moored up and then turned in the width of the canal! Note the sharper bow and the grab handles on the roof - the workers would hold on and gently rock so as to break up the ice
A classic view looking down the locks with the Napton-on-the-Hill windmill in the distance
Chris and Leigh bringing the boat down
Becki lock wheels

Leaving the damaged Lock 10
I assume it will be repaired during this winter's stoppages
Finally - the classic shot of Napton!
We had a fab day thanks Leigh & Becki xx
